THE TEAM

The mission of the Sustainability Department is to drive responsible and sustainable product and operations to deliver value for people the planet and Aritzia.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Sustainability team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for driving improvements and continuously enhancing the sustainability of our business practices and supply chain. As the Senior Manager / Manager Sustainability Strategy Decarbonization you will support with developing and executing Aritzias decarbonization strategy driving emissions reductions across operations logistics and product to ensure alignment with climate targets and global best practices. THE ROLE

As the Senior Manager / Manager Sustainability Strategy Decarbonization you will lead the team to:

  • Define and deliver Aritzias climate ambition including our decarbonization approach
  • Reduce Aritzias environmental footprint throughout the value chain in line with planetary boundaries
  • Account for and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with our climate targets in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure our climate and broader environment programs and initiatives are integrated into our business while enabling effective execution and continuous improvement
  • Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Manager / Manager Sustainability Strategy Decarbonization has:

  • Proven skills certificationseducationand/or experience in:
    • Leading organizational change by developing and implementing climate governance and sustainability practices (e.g. GHG reduction roadmaps sectoral decarbonization pathway strategy)
    • Environmental sustainability principles and decarbonization levers (e.g. energy efficiency renewable energy water stewardship circularity and sustainable materials)
    • Regulatory and emerging climate disclosure reporting standards (e.g. GHG Protocol TCFD CDP)
    • Managing complex datasets and using analytics and data visualization tools (e.g. Power Query Power BI Tableau)
  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzias Values and Business and People Leadership principles
  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business

THE COMPENSATION

At Aritzia we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy.

The range for roles at this level is $150000 - $300000 per year. Total compensation may include base bonus and/or equity depending on the role which has the potential to be greater than this range.
