Tacten is seeking a Rope Access Journeyperson Insulator to support our client site CNRL Horizon in Fort McMurray AB!
As a Rope Access Insulator you will be a key member of our team responsible for executing high-altitude tasks with precision efficiency and safety. This isnt just a job its an opportunity to grow your skills expand your expertise and make a real impact in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Project Details:
- Site: CNRL Horizon
- Shift/Rotation: Long-Term Maintenance Work - 14/14 Rotation 11.5 hour shifts
- Camp Accommodations & FIFO provided from Alberta hubs (Calgary or Edmonton)
Responsibilities
- Install insulation materials such as foam fiberglass or mineral wool to prevent heat transfer reduce energy consumption or control sound.
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
- Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
- Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear damage or degradation.
- Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.
- Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.
- Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements acoustic considerations or electrical insulation needs.
- Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.
- Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.
Requirements
- Journeyman Insulator or equivalent hours required
- IRATA Level 1 required or willingness to obtain. Ability to hire those with IRATA Level 2 and 3 as well.
Safety Certifications:
- CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO
