Position Summary

• Start Date: September 2026
• 7/7 rotation 12-hour shifts
• Applicants must be local to Fort McMurray or willing to relocate (Local Living Incentive provided)

Responsibilities

• Install insulation materials such as foam fiberglass or mineral wool to prevent heat transfer reduce energy consumption or control sound.
• Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
• Secure insulation in place using appropriate fasteners and adhesives.
• Regularly inspect insulation for signs of wear damage or degradation.
• Replace or repair insulation that has become compromised.
• Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation performance.
• Consult with clients or project managers to determine insulation needs based on factors like temperature requirements acoustic considerations or electrical insulation needs.
• Provide recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for different environments.
• Collaborate with construction or maintenance teams to ensure proper installation according to specifications.

Requirements

• Journeyman Insulator or equivalent hours required
• IRATA Level 1 required or willingness to obtain
• CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO
• CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry)
• ESC Fall Protection an asset
