Dreams Finance team is currently looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee the Accounting and Accounts Payable functions for the Alberta Land & Housing team along with the Treasury function for Western Canada Land & Housing.

What will you do

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more but we can discuss those in person.

• Prepare / review monthly accounting entries;
• Prepare / review monthly reconciliations of relevant balance sheet and income statement accounts;
• Maintain organized and efficient reporting / working papers for financial balances and statistics;
• Prepare / assist with monthly consolidated reporting;
• Prepare legal entity financial statements for tax purposes;
• Prepare year-end working papers for the external audit process and ad-hoc analysis for our business;
• Assist with the input development and analysis of budgets and actively participate in the reforecast process;
• Ensure local compliance with corporate internal control framework;
• Accomplish tasks on time and contribute to the team by taking on special projects as required;
• Provide support to other members of the accounting team; and
• Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with the operations team.

What type of experience and skills do you have

These are only some of the things wed like you to bring to the table. We can cover the rest when we meet.

• Wed like you to have completed a post-secondary degree in Accounting Finance or Business Administration and your Professional Accounting Designation CPA;
• 5 years experience in an accounting function of which two were in a managerial capacity leading a team;
• Previous experience with a Land Developer and Home Builder is an asset; and
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and previous experience with JD Edwards would be an asset.
