About the Role
The Faculty of Continuing Education and Extension at Mount Royal University (MRU) invites applications from those interested in sharing their enthusiasm and expertise with funeral students as an online instructor. Instructors are contracted on a per course basis to teach in Mount Royal University's Funeral Education programs. Visit our website for program details at .
The position is part-time for the Fall 2026 semester. We are seeking instructors with the ability to teach the following course:
Embalming Theory I (Online) - Funeral Education
Embalming Theory I will include the study of health and safety issues including infectious agents, the chain of infection, disinfection, exposure and follow-up requirements. The death process, ante-mortem and post-mortem changes will be studied. The embalming process and procedures will be studied including the use of chemicals and hazardous waste.
