The successful candidate
will serve as a resource to schools and departments while helping ensure compliance with Alberta occupational health and safety legislation and best practices.What you BringGrade 12 education or equivalent Post-secondary certificate or related coursework in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Risk Management, Human Resources, or related discipline. Minimum two (2) years of related experience in occupational health and safety, risk management, compliance, investigations, training coordination, or related field. Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with access to a reliable vehicle. Experience within a public sector, education, municipal, or unionized environment is considered an asset. Knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation and best practices. Strong investigation, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.Based at the Facility Services Office in High River, Alberta, this position works year round for 40 hours per week. It is a permanent position commencing mid August to early September 2026.
