Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

ARC’One, our manufacturing facility in New Westminster, is home to a team of skilled makers and technicians who bring Arc’teryx products to life. Some of our most technically complex products including Alpha SV and new product pilots are built here. The facility also supports ReBIRD repair and renewal programs, helping extend the life of Arc’teryx gear.

This is hands-on, precision work where craftsmanship, problem-solving and continuous improvement come together on the production floor. This is .

As a Materials Planner, you are responsible for ensuring the timely availability of production materials and factory supplies to support production schedules and daily facility operations. In this role, you will manage material replenishment plans, optimize inventory levels, identify and mitigate supply risks, and collaborate with suppliers and internal collaborators to ensure material availability and on-time delivery. You will also support critical purchasing activities as needed to meet production requirements while driving continuous improvement in planning processes, inventory performance, and overall supply chain effectiveness.

Meet Your Future Team

The Manufacturing Planning team is a purpose-driven and process-improvement driven team whose focus is to successfully deliver our finished goods production plan. Our team is focused on optimizing resources and mitigating risks within the facility and vendor base, as well as driving cross-functional communication and alignment to ensure production needs are met as planned.

As the Materials Planner for ARC’One, you will be a part of ARC’One Manufacturing Planning Team, and you will partner with the Production Management team and Facilities Team.

If you were our Material Planner, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Own the end-to-end material planning process, ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, and system alignment to support uninterrupted production.

  • Proactively identify, assess, and resolve material supply risks that could impact production plans, including supply constraints, lead time variability, capacity limitations, and demand fluctuations.

  • Lead mitigation planning and cross-functional alignment to address material shortages, supply disruptions, and inventory risks before they impact operations.

  • Monitor material availability and inventory health, balancing customer service requirements with inventory, working capital, and obsolescence targets.

  • Maintain and continuously improve planning parameters, master data, and MRP settings to enhance planning accuracy and system effectiveness.

  • Provide regular analysis and reporting on material availability, inventory performance, supply risks, and service-level impacts to support business decision-making.

  • Coordinate with Suppliers, Scheduling, Operations, Quality, and Production teams to ensure reliable material flow and timely issue resolution.

  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for material shortages, delivery failures, inventory discrepancies, and quality-related supply issues.

  • Lead inventory optimization initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce excess inventory while maintaining required service levels.

  • Support capacity planning, scenario analysis, and contingency planning to improve supply chain resilience and responsiveness.

  • Manage material planning priorities and facilitate decision-making during supply constraints by coordinating cross-functional collaborators.

  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives that enhance planning effectiveness, inventory management, and operational performance.

  • Support planning governance through development of standard work, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement activities.

  • Provide guidance on material planning best practices, driving accountability and alignment across internal collaborators.

  • Collaborate with Procurement on strategic supplier management activities while supporting purchase order execution and exception management as required.

Are you our next Materials Planner?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, or similar discipline

  • You have 3-5 years’ experience in planning/purchasing/procurement and manufacturing environment, preferably within the apparel industry

  • You have knowledge of sourcing practices, vendor management, supply chain management, inventory management, global distribution network planning and project management practices.

  • You have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and exceptional multitasking skills.

  • You are a proficient user of Microsoft Office and PowerBi

  • You have excellent English written and spoken communication skills and have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a people-facing role.

  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.

  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with competing priorities and have the ability to balance autonomy with collaboration.

  • You seek and execute the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right

  • You drive breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement

  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
