We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Senior Procurement Professional to lead end-to-end material procurement management for complex projects within our Oil & Gas / Energy business unit. The ideal candidate will possess deep category expertise in midstream/interstate pipeline materials, a proven track record of managing high-value capital spend, and advanced expertise utilizing SAP in a hands-on Buyer capacity.

What You'll Do
Strategic Procurement Leadership: Lead the end-to-end material procurement management of high-complexity capital projects and specialized material commodities within the Oil & Gas sector.

Sourcing Management: Develop, issue, and execute complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).

Accountability: Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the entire lifecycle of purchase orders within your assigned category and project scope.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise extensively with suppliers and cross-functional internal stakeholders (Supplier Qualification, Engineering, Project Management, Legal, Risk, etc.) to mitigate project risk and ensure compliance.

Industry Relations: Leverage established industry contacts and existing relationships with manufacturers and distributors of interstate natural gas pipe, valves, fittings, and other critical Oil & Gas categories.

Contract Administration: Deeply understand, interpret, and enforce all terms and conditions of purchase orders and master service agreements (MSAs) in all supplier dealings.

Data Integrity: Ensure flawless execution of procurement transactions and maintain meticulous records within SAP.

Technical Acumen: Interpret complex bills of materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and stringent technical specifications inherent to energy infrastructure projects.

Value Creation: Proactively identify, develop, and execute cost-savings opportunities, operational efficiencies, and process improvements.

Executive Presence: Interact with executive management and senior leadership to routinely resolve high-impact, controversial, or highly sensitive supply chain issues that affect major business segments.

Market Intelligence: Develop and present comprehensive recommendations to business leaders regarding macro-cost drivers, supplier performance metrics, and shifting industry trends.

Strategic Forecasting: Actively identify future Supply Chain needs, bottlenecks, and market opportunities based on predictive data, business unit forecasting, and global market analysis.

Education & Qualifications:

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferred disciplines include Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil).

Preferred Advanced Education & Certifications
Master’s Degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management) is highly desirable.

CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: Must have extensive, hands-on SAP experience within a professional Buyer role. Proficiency in SAP MM (Materials Management) modules for purchase order creation, tracking, and data analysis is mandatory.

Deep knowledge of interstate natural gas pipeline regulations, materials (pipe, valves, fittings), and energy sector market dynamics.

Strong mastery of commercial contract law, indemnification clauses, and risk mitigation strategies in capital procurement.
