Scope of Position:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for providing general warehouse assistance in accordance with the standard operating procedures for the position and performing in compliance to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Handle cable orders and cut cables to specified lengths.
- Inspect cables for specifications compliance and remove defective pieces.
- Completing the pre-shift inspection for forklift, including battery maintenance.
- Maintaining safety compliance and reporting any unsafe work conditions that might occur.
- Monitoring and tracking inventory per Company procedures.
- Adhering to standards/processes in the warehouse.
- Order picking and putting stock away in appropriate locations.
- Operating a scanning gun and stocking empty reels.
- Follow correct cutting procedures, complete required paperwork, and verify the order matches the requirements.
- Assisting with general cleaning of work environment.
- Participating in re-certification for forklift operation, as required.
- Ensure compliance with Texcan’s health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as OH&S.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• First Aid, WHMIS, or Forklift Certification is preferred.
• Forklift experience is essential.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• At least 2+ years of experience in warehouse, production, or general labor roles.
