Electrical Lead Hand to join a growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Electrician who enjoys combining hands-on electrical work with team leadership, mentoring, and operational support.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Electrical Lead Hand will help coordinate daily activities, ensure production priorities are met, support apprentices and tradespeople, and promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities: Leadership & Production Support - Coordinate daily work assignments based on production priorities, employee skills, and operational requirements
- Monitor workflow and ensure work orders are completed efficiently and accurately
- Review production schedules and assist in moving work orders through the appropriate work centers
- Support the Supervisor by monitoring productivity, quality, and employee performance
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance to electricians and apprentices
- Assist with employee training, skills development, and competency evaluations
- Support the completion of performance reviews by providing feedback on employee performance and growth
Safety & Quality - Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture
- Ensure compliance with all company health and safety policies and procedures
- Identify unsafe conditions and assist in implementing corrective actions
- Ensure equipment, tools, and testing devices remain safe and operational
- Calibrate electrical testing equipment and maintain accurate records
- Investigate incidents and support incident reporting when required
- Verify employees maintain current crane and forklift certifications and logs
Technical & Electrical Responsibilities - Perform hands-on electrical work and troubleshooting as required
- Support manufacturing and engineering teams in resolving build and production issues
- Assist with identifying and correcting non-conformances
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to implement solutions and process improvements
- Ensure work is completed according to quality standards, specifications, and safety requirements
- Sign off apprenticeship competencies as training milestones are achieved
Acting Supervisor Support During Supervisor absences, the Electrical Lead Hand will: - Coordinate daily shop floor activities
- Support employee engagement and productivity
- Address immediate operational concerns
- Coordinate first aid response and incident reporting requirements
- Assist with workplace investigations and safety reporting
Qualifications and Skills: - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Industrial Electrician (442A) Certificate of Qualification preferred
- Construction & Maintenance Electrician (309A) will also be considered
- Diploma or Degree in a related discipline is considered an asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed electrician in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, industrial, or heavy equipment environment
- Previous Lead Hand, Team Lead, or Supervisory experience is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance practices
- Experience mentoring apprentices and supporting workforce development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as AX Dynamics is an asset
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
