Trane Technologies is hiring an HVAC Digital Services Technician (HVAC Automation/Controls) to join our this role you will be responsible for commissioning programming diagnosing HVAC controls for air conditioning and/or chiller systems in buildings.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced analytics and artificial intelligence systems to optimize buildings.
• Responsible for servicing assigned equipment and projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Use hand tools and interpret drawings plans and specifications to diagnose and perform repairs.
• Analyze diagnose and repair customer systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance site reconnaissance replacements and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
• Prior to work and repairs on-site review equipment layout anticipate difficulties gather necessary materials and coordinate work as needed.
• Represent the company by serving as direct contact with customers.
• Provide training to customers.
• Provide sales leads to account managers.
• Identify parts to order for jobs and timing for placing orders.
• Document material parts work and all costs associated with each task and return unused resources.
• Provide documents and reports within prescribed deadlines.
• Keep knowledge up to date on installation maintenance operation service and repair of Trane products with ongoing training provided by Trane.
• Read and interpret specifications drawings and product and building designs.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• May be required to supervise apprentice technicians.
• Occasionally travel with overnight stays may be required.
• Must be available for overtime and/or weekend work as needed.
• Expertise with advanced digital tools and connected technologies
• Focuses on installing commissioning troubleshooting and servicing building automation systems while leveraging digital platforms to improve accuracy efficiency and customer experience
• Installing configuring and commissioning Trane HVAC controls
• Using digital tools wireless sensors mobile apps and connected service platforms to perform diagnostics and system checks
• Troubleshooting electricaland controls issues in the field
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance and verifying safe efficient system operation
• Supporting remote diagnostic teams by capturing data performing onsite tests and implementing recommended actions
• Documenting service activities digitally through Tranes service systems.
• Educating customers on system operation digital features and connected capabilities.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards environmental requirements and Trane service procedures.
• Enhances field service effectiveness by integrating digital capabilities with hands-on technical expertise resulting in faster problem resolution better data quality and improved customer outcomes.
• Other duties may be assigned:

Required Qualifications:

• Technical diploma in the field of building mechanics or industrial automation or a minimum of five years (5) of experience in HVAC or a similar position or an equivalent combination of work and education.
• Strong communication skills.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Reasoning ability.
• Drivers license.

The position holder must frequently stand and walk use hands to feel and manipulate speak and listen. They may occasionally walk reach bend kneel squat or crawl. They may also occasionally sit. This position requires the ability to see up close far away and around oneself distinguish depth and colors and focus.

This position requires working outdoors in mechanical rooms and potentially in extreme conditions and temperatures. During the course of duties the employee is often exposed to moving mechanical parts heavy equipment precarious and elevated locations wet conditions airborne vapors and particles vibrations and risks of electrical shocks (high voltages). They may occasionally be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is typically high.
