Our mission is to maintain a best-in-class portfolio that consistently delivers excellence in care and services while ensuring economic Overview: The Personal Support Worker provides direct personal and nursing care to residents to fulfil the physical intellectual emotional social and spiritual needs of residents in accordance to home polices procedure and work : Assists in providing direct care for residents; assists with ambulation feeding bathing and participation in activity programs by assisting residents to and from with meal service and nourishment delivery to residents and provides feeding assistance as emotional and social support to residents/families including palliative to established departmental policies and procedures regarding documentation quality assurance fire safety environment and infection with and informs supervisor of unit activities needs and matters related to resident in care conferences and documentation related to resident care : Completed a PSW Program that meets the appropriate standards established by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities the National Association of Career Colleges or the Ontario Community Support Association and must be a minimum of 600 hours in duration (including class time and practical experience time)A minimum of two years of experience in long-term care requiredSafe Lift training requiredMeal Suite training requiredGentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) training requiredKnowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation requiredMentally and physically able to perform duties as assignedAbility to communicate positively with other staff residents and familiesDemonstrates empathy concern and interest in providing quality care and service to residentsDemonstrates organizational skills and ability to complete assignments in a timely fashionAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to provide resident care in accordance with application legislation job routines nursing care plans ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written instructions in Requirements includeA negative vulnerable sector check completed within 6 months of start of a 2 Step TB Skin test within the last 12 months of start would like to thank all applicants for your interest in working as part of our team!
