Job description

Our consumer business client is seeking a Senior Desktop Support Specialist (7+ years) to deliver Level-2 and Level-3 technical support using Windows 10, Office , and Azure technologies

Join a dynamic technical team supporting enterprise users within a high-demand consumer business environment. This position delivers hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance across hardware, software, and networking in alignment with corporate SLAs. The role offers direct exposure to executive-level support and complex desktop infrastructure systems across Microsoft and cloud-based environments.

Contract, Edmonton, Onsite, Working Hours: MST

Must Haves

  • Advanced troubleshooting of Windows 10 and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) environments
  • In-depth expertise with M apps such as OneDrive, OneNote, Teams, and Planner
  • Strong background in MS technologies with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Portal, Azure Active Directory, licensing, and reporting
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required

Nice to Have

  • A+ Certification or Microsoft certifications (MCTS, MCITP, MCPD, MCM, MCSA, MCSD, MCSE)
  • ITIL Certification
  • Experience supporting macOS and audio/video boardroom systems
  • Knowledge of WebEx, networking, and cabling fundamentals

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level-2 and Level-3 support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and local area network connectivity issues
  • Support VIP users with timely and professional resolution
  • Install, maintain, and configure approved desktop software and system images
  • Coordinate hardware repairs and returns with OEM vendors
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and system images
  • Provide status updates, reporting, and communication with management and end-users
