Essential Responsibilities:
Perform pressure welding on piping systems in accordance with ABSA codes WPS and project specifications
Execute SMAW (stick) and GTAW (tig) welding on carbon steel piping for industrial applications
Read and interpret P&IDs isometrics welding procedures and drawings to ensure accurate work
Complete fit-up root pass fill and cap welding to meet quality and code requirements
Support rigging and positioning of pipe using appropriate equipment and safe practices
Complete FLHAs and follow all site safety procedures including hot work permits and lockout/tagout
Maintain welding rig tools and consumables to ensure safe and efficient operation on site
Complete tasks safely efficiently and within project deadlines following Ledcors high standards for safety and quality
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Welder ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Alberta BPressure Welder Certification
CWB Welder Certification
Provide current DSP (Direct Service Provider) documentation
Previous experience in industrial construction/maintenance facility pipeline or pipeline maintenance is required
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
Valid drivers license
Work Conditions:
Applicants who reside in Fort McMurray will be given preference due to the location of the project
Camp accommodations available
Living out allowance available
14 days on 7 days off shift rotation working 12 hours per day
Must be able to work day or night shifts
