Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for the following position: S2627-22 Early Childhood Educator - Care to Learn - Cold Lake Elementary SchoolWe are seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Early Childhood Educator commencing at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The assignment includes overseeing the day to day operations of the program, ensuring appropriate supervision, smooth transitions, adequate staffing and consistent routines. Preference will be given to applicants who have: Level 2 or 3 Early Child Care Certificate First Aid CertificationKnowledge and experience working in an early childhood or school-aged care settingEffective interpersonal and relationship building skillsExtensive understanding of child development theories and best practicesWorking knowledge of Alberta Childcare Licensing RegulationsFamiliarity with NLPS program philosophies, policies, and operational proceduresStrong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilitiesThe Role the Early Childhood Educator may include:Developing and implementing a high-quality, developmentally appropriate program for children and students to ensure smooth and consistent routinesUpholding the program's philosophy, policies, and procedures in all daily practicesMaintaining confidentiality in all matters involving children, students, families, and staffEnsuring all children and students are supervised at all times and accounted for during transitions and activitiesProviding leadership, guidance, and performance input for the Early Childhood Assistants How to Apply: Interested applicants are required to create and complete all sections of their portfolio through the 'Apply On-Line' link on our website, in the employment section.
