Junior Engineer - Transportation Planning to support transportation and operations teams through engineering analysis and technical expertise. Working under the guidance of a Professional Engineer, you will contribute to capacity planning, operational analysis, and infrastructure development to support efficient rail operations.

Responsibilities: Network Planning & Analysis - Support engineering studies related to line and terminal operations
- Assist in capacity analysis of transportation networks and facilities
Operations Analysis - Analyze operational challenges and contribute to solution development
- Support transportation engineering activities and system coordination
Capital & Infrastructure Planning - Assist in conceptual planning, layout design, and service modeling
- Contribute to capital planning and business case development
Train Operations & Marshalling - Support performance analysis using historical data and modeling tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency
Passenger & Capacity Planning - Assist in developing service schedules and improving automation tools
- Support capacity assessments for enhanced passenger services
Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Transportation, or related field)
- Eligible for Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation
- Entry-level experience (internships, co-op, or academic projects)
- Exposure to transportation, logistics, or infrastructure environments (asset)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset
- Adaptability in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of programming (Python, C#, Java) considered an asset
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Understanding of transportation or rail operations (asset)
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
