Our client, a well-established professional services firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounting Clerk to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior candidate looking to build their accounting and billing experience in a structured, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the full billing cycle, including running monthly pre-bills, processing invoices, e-billing, write-offs, and accounts receivable follow-up
• Prepare, code, and process deposits (electronic and in-person), maintaining accurate records
• Process vendor payments, including printing, preparing, and tracking cheques
• Perform monthly credit card reconciliations, ensuring proper coding and supporting documentation
• Maintain petty cash and complete regular reconciliations
• Organize, scan, and file accounting documentation and invoices
• Provide general administrative and accounting support, including assisting the Accounting Manager and team as needed
Qualifications
• Accounting diploma/certificate, or currently pursuing accounting studies
• Prior office or accounting experience is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems is considered an asset
The compensation range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000, dependent on experience. With a hybrid WFH policy (3 days in the office in downtown Vancouver per week after the 3 month probation)
