Description
:Work with the maintenance planning team to develop and optimize preventive maintenance schedules that align with production requirements and equipment availability.
Conduct maintenance planning and maintenance reliability functions as required to learn the site processed to identify areas of opportunity for efficiency improvements within maintenance planning and execution.
Analyze equipment performance and failure data to identify recurring issues and recommend reliability improvements.
Collaborate with maintenance supervisors in the field to optimize workflow processes, reduce equipment downtime, and improve overall maintenance efficiency.
Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.
Support the optimization of condition-based monitoring technologies to transition from reactive to predictive maintenance strategies.
Integrate within the production planning, maintenance, and reliability teams to provide recommendations for daily practices on site.
Foster strong communication with the customer's Mining Automation team to enhance planning and maintenance efficiency.
Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in mine planning, maintenance, and reliability.
Promote and ensure adherence to all safety standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mining technical role, including mine planning, reliability, maintenance planning/scheduling, or operations.
Post-secondary education in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Registration as a Professional Engineer in BC or Alberta is an asset.
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms.
Proficiency in using office programs like MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated understanding of best practices in mine design, planning, and operations.
Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance (RCM) principles and predictive maintenance technologies.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and project management skills.
Technical proficiency in mine planning software such as Civil CAD, Vulcan, Deswik, or similar tools.
Commitment to safety and risk management in mining operations.
