Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced
Heavy Duty / Commercial Transport Mechanic to support fleet maintenance and repair operations. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles and equipment both in-shop and in the field.

Responsibilities: - Perform minor and major repairs, servicing, and upfitting on various vehicles including cars, light trucks, heavy trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment (cranes, hirail, gensets, etc.)
- Operate welding equipment (electric and oxy-acetylene) and other specialized repair tools
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Complete work orders and record repair details in accordance with company procedures
- Conduct work in shop, field, and outdoor environments as required
- Ensure all work complies with provincial regulations and safety standards
- Support emergency repairs and respond to equipment issues as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills: · Valid Journeyman Certificate in Heavy Duty or Commercial Transport Mechanics
· Additional certifications (e.g., Automotive Mechanic) are considered an asset
· Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy duty or commercial transport repair
· Ability to service and repair hirail equipment
· Must be able to pass the Mechanic "A" test
· Valid driver's license required (air endorsement and class upgrade considered an asset)
· Capable of operating a variety of vehicles and equipment
· Must have own basic hand tools
· Ability to certify equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Safety-focused with attention to detail
· Reliable and self-motivated
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Flexible and adaptable to changing work environments
· Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
