How Youll Make an Impact

In this role youll lead and evolve the Banks risk management capabilitieswhile acting as a trusted advisor across the organization.

Lead Enterprise Risk Management

• Design implement and continuously improve the enterprise risk management framework.
• Ensure alignment with the Banks Risk Appetite Framework and regulatory expectations.
• Maintain risk policies governance and standards that support effective oversight.

Strengthen Risk Oversight & Challenge

• Provide independent oversight and challenge across business lines and risk activities.
• Monitor risk exposures trends and emerging issuesescalating where appropriate.
• Support clarity and effectiveness across the three lines of defense.

Advance Operational & Non-Financial Risk Management

• Oversee frameworks related to operational risk business continuity incident management and KRIs.
• Monitor key non-financial risks including cyber third-party and conduct risk.
• Drive continuous improvement in control effectiveness and operational resilience.

Deliver Strategic Risk Insights

• Develop clear forward-looking risk reporting for senior management and the Board.
• Translate complex risk data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Support enterprise stress testing and scenario analysis to inform decision-making.

Lead Mentor and Build Capability

• Lead coach and develop a high-performing risk team.
• Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous learning.
• Support succession planning and talent development across the function.

What You Bring to the Table

• 10 years of experience in risk management within a financial services environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving results.
• Post-secondary education in business risk management or a related field.
• A recognized risk management designation is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and the Canadian financial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence collaborate and lead at a senior level.
