Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

Compensation: $54.19/hour + Benefits
Schedule: 7 days on 7 days off - day shift only!
Our client is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their maintenance team supporting a specialized fleet of mobile equipment in British Columbia's Elk Valley. Key Responsibilities
• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on commercial trucks and specialized mobile equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems
• Complete preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and availability
• Repair and overhaul hydraulic, drivetrain, electrical, and mechanical components
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform troubleshooting in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company and site safety standards
Qualifications
• Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic, Commercial Transport Mechanic, or equivalent trade certification
• Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
• Ability to work independently and make sound maintenance decisions
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement
• Previous mining or industrial experience is considered an asset
