Job Profile
The coil yard attendant position removes steel coils from the railcars and coil trucks with an overhead crane, performs quality inspections and adds the coils to the steel inventory, sorting by widths and gauges.
This position uses a semi and/or a forklift to supply the pipe mill with specific steel coils.

Job Duties
- Railcar securement
- Steel coil inspection and quality control
- Coil off loading
- Coil inventory, and sorting by widths and gauges
- Hauling specific coils into the mill for processing
- Overhead crane operations and inspections
Qualifications
- Class 1 Drivers Licence
- Overhead crane experience
- Able to adapt and accept changes to job duties
- Flexible and available for overtime as required to meet project needs
- Able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in temperature, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise.
- Self-driven and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
