Job description

The Opportunity

Nutanix engineers are creating a revolutionary technology, building the software-defined data center. We’re using our love of programming and outstanding backgrounds to change the way companies virtualize their data centers. At Nutanix, you’ll find no shortage of challenging problems to work on. We work closely with our product in a collegiate, collaborative environment that encourages the open exploration of ideas. Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud, is looking to hire outstanding software developers to join our Software Defined Security product called Nutanix Flow. You will be part of a small yet impactful team with ample opportunity to grow and expand your skill set. Nutanix Flow is a Software Defined Network and Network Security product that provides a simplified way to create and manage Overlay VLANs, VPCs, and application-centric security policies, enabling administrators to govern applications independent of physical infrastructure. About the Team The Nutanix Flow team is a high-impact group focused on delivering advanced networking, security services, and compliance insights for the enterprise. We value big thinkers who are unafraid to take on seemingly impossible challenges and are interested in learning how to build a business along the way. Our team culture is built on collaboration and the open exploration of ideas to deliver granular control for enterprise applications. Nutanix Vancouver: Nutanix is expanding its engineering presence in Vancouver as part of a long-term commitment to building strong infrastructure and platform teams. • Collaborate with a geo-distributed team to own and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and predictability.
  • Mentor junior team members and participate in technical knowledge-sharing events, such as tech talks and boot camps.
What You Will Bring
  • BE/BTech/ME/MTech or equivalent in Computer Science.

  • Professional experience developing software for networking or security products with a strong understanding of the Linux operating system and utilities.
  • Deep knowledge of the TCP-IP Suite of protocols (Ethernet, VLAN, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DNS).
  • Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and Protobuf.
