Job description

Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking an experienced enterprise leader to shape and lead itsOrganizationEffectiveness agenda at a pivotal point in the company’s evolution. Reporting to the Chief People Officer and serving on the People & Places Leadership Team, this role will lead strategy and execution acrossorganizationdesign,organizationaltransformation, strategic and operational workforce planning, andwill heavily influencethe future of workdesign at Autodesk.

This leader will help Autodesk evolve its operating model, workforce, and ways of working to support growth, strengthen execution, and build future-ready capabilities. The role requires strong judgement, executive presence, and the ability to influence senior leaders, including the C-suite, on complex and business-criticalorganizationalmatters.

TheVice Presidentwill lead a high-impact team of circa 12 employees and work closely with People & Places leaders across HR M&A, People Business Partnering, Talent, Culture & Belonging, Total Rewards & Performance Management, and People Insights & Solutions to deliver integrated, practical, and business-relevant outcomes.

This role is open to qualified candidates in any location where Autodesk has an office and may be performed in-office, remotely, or in a hybrid arrangement, subject to local policy and business needs. Occasional travel to the San Francisco Bay Area and other US and international locations will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Autodesk’s enterprise Organization Effectiveness strategy across organization design,transformationandworkforce planning

  • Serve as a member of the People & Places Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise people strategy and broader functional leadership

  • Advise senior leaders and the C-suite on organizational structure, operating model, capability priorities, workforce implications, and ways of working

  • Translate business strategy into actionable organization and workforce plans that support performance, growth, and long-term value creation

  • Lead, on behalf of the People and Places organization, thepeopleandorganizationalcomponents of enterprise transformation efforts, ensuring alignment between business goals,organizationdesign, workforce strategy, and execution

  • Lead and evolve a high-impact internal consulting capability grounded in organizationalexpertise, data, benchmarking, and pragmatic delivery

  • In conjunction with key PPL Leadership Team Peers, shape Autodesk’s future of work approach, including the implications of AI for work, capability building, leadership, and organizational design

  • Develop scalable frameworks, tools, and processes that strengthen organizational effectiveness across the company

  • Build organization effectiveness capability across People Business Partners and Chiefs of Staff through practical frameworks, guidance, and enablement

  • Partner across People & Places to deliver joined-up solutions on transformation, integration, and enterprise priorities

  • Oversee prioritization, demand planning, and resource allocation across the function

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent preferred in Organization Development, Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field

  • 15+ years or equivalent of experience in organization effectiveness, organizational development, business transformation, organization design, workforce planning, operating model design, and/or human resources

  • 8+ years or equivalent of people leadership experience, including leading senior individual contributors and managers

  • Significant experience advising and influencing senior executives, including the C-suite, on complex organizational, workforce, and transformation matters

  • Demonstrated ability to influence across functions, business units, geographies, and leadership level

  • Proven ability to align diverse stakeholders and drive collaboration on complex organizational and workforce issues

  • Experience leading strategic and operational workforce planning and translating business strategy into workforce decisions

  • Experience shaping or leading flexible working, future of work, and/or operating model evolution in a complex global environment

  • Strong track record of applying an equity, inclusion, and diversity lens to organizational and people decisions

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with experience using both established and emerging tools and methodologies

  • Enterprise leader who connects business strategy to organizational capability, operating model choices, workforce plans, and people interventions

  • Deep subject matter expertise in organization design, transformation, workforce planning, and the future of work

Responsabilités

  • Diriger la stratégie d’efficacité organisationnelle d’Autodesk, couvrant la conception de l’organisation, la transformation et la planification des effectifs

  • Siéger au sein de l’équipe de direction « People & Places » (Ressources humaines et sites), en contribuant à la stratégie RH de l’entreprise et au leadership fonctionnel au sens large

  • Conseiller les hauts dirigeants et la direction générale sur la structure organisationnelle, le modèle opérationnel, les priorités en matière de capacités, les implications pour les effectifs et les méthodes de travail

  • Traduire la stratégie d’entreprise en plans organisationnels et de gestion des effectifs concrets, favorisant la performance, la croissance et la création de valeur à long terme

  • Diriger, au nom de l’organisation « People and Places », les volets humains et organisationnels des efforts de transformation de l’entreprise, en veillant à l’alignement entre les objectifs commerciaux, la conception organisationnelle, la stratégie de gestion des effectifs et la mise en œuvre

Qualifications Minimales

  • Master ou équivalent, de préférence en développement organisationnel, ressources humaines, gestion d’entreprise, psychologie ou dans un domaine connexe

  • Plus de 15 ans d’expérience (ou équivalent) dans les domaines de l’efficacité organisationnelle, du développement organisationnel, de la transformation d’entreprise, de la conception organisationnelle, de la planification des effectifs, de la conception de modèles opérationnels et/ou des ressources humaines

  • Plus de 8 ans d’expérience (ou équivalent) en matière de direction d’équipes, y compris la gestion de collaborateurs seniors et de responsables

  • Expérience significative dans le conseil et l’influence auprès de cadres supérieurs, y compris les dirigeants de haut niveau, sur des questions complexes liées à l’organisation, aux effectifs et à la transformation

  • Capacité avérée à exercer une influence au-delà des fonctions, des unités opérationnelles, des zones géographiques et des niveaux hiérarchiques

  • Capacité avérée à harmoniser les points de vue de diverses parties prenantes et à favoriser la collaboration sur des questions complexes liées à l’organisation et aux effectifs

  • Expérience dans la direction de la planification stratégique et opérationnelle des effectifs et dans la traduction de la stratégie d’entreprise en décisions relatives aux effectifs
