Job description
Description
  • Location: Remote / Virtual
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Salary Range: $5,000–$6,000 CAD/month

About Us
HireHawk is a globally minded staffing and recruitment company that connects skilled professionals with U.S. and Canadian companies, building high-performing remote teams around the world. We’re remote by design, outcomes-first, and built for people who take ownership and want meaningful work from anywhere.

About the Role
You’ll own day-to-day social execution and help shape the content strategy that grows awareness, trust, and demand. You’ll translate brand positioning into content that feels native on each platform, while keeping performance and business goals in view. This role is ideal for someone who can balance creative instincts with strong organization, fast iteration, and clear reporting. You’ll be supporting a beauty brand/client through HireHawk, collaborating closely with marketing and creative stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own a social content engine that consistently increases reach, engagement, and brand trust across priority channels (ex: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
  • Create and manage a clear, realistic content calendar that connects launches, promos, and evergreen storytelling
  • Write high-performing captions, hooks, and community prompts that match the brand voice and drive action
  • Publish, schedule, and optimize content (format, timing, hashtags/SEO, trends) based on what the data says is working
  • Lead community management: respond with warmth and accuracy, escalate issues appropriately, and turn comments/DMs into insights
  • Partner with creators/influencers and UGC contributors to source, brief, and repurpose content (with usage rights tracked and organized)
  • Track performance weekly (growth, engagement, CTR, saves, watch time) and turn results into clear recommendations
  • Work smoothly with designers, editors, and marketing leads to ship content on time without sacrificing quality
  • Stay current on platform changes and beauty content trends, then test quickly and report what you learn

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on social media management for a consumer brand (beauty, skincare, haircare, wellness, or lifestyle strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to create platform-native content that performs (you can explain why a post worked, not just that it did)
  • Strong writing skills with a sharp eye for tone, clarity, and brand consistency
  • Comfort using social scheduling and analytics tools (native analytics is fine; Sprout/Later/Hootsuite is a plus)
  • Experience building and maintaining a content calendar and meeting publishing deadlines in a remote setup
  • Strong communication and reliability in a fully remote environment
  • Ownership mindset: you follow through, spot gaps early, and keep work moving without being chased

Nice to Have:

  • Beauty industry experience (products, ingredients, routines, launches, creator culture) and strong intuition for what audiences trust
  • Basic short-form editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar) and comfort directing simple UGC edits
  • Experience supporting product launches, promos, and social commerce (Shop links, landing pages, UTM tracking)
  • Experience working with influencers/creators including brief writing and usage rights tracking
  • Light paid social boosting coordination (working with a performance marketer, sharing creative learnings)

Benefits

  • Access to a $200K+ perk marketplace with discounts on 150+ services.
  • Option to withdraw up to 50% of approved earnings before payday.
