Reporting to the Recreation Programmer the Kiosk Receptionist is responsible for performing a variety of customer service activities including providing general information to the public processing drop in admissions and completing registrations.
Strong knowledge of effective customer service techniques and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal public relations and problem/complaint resolution skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple conflicting demands in a professional manner.
Demonstrated skills with handling cashless payments in an accurate manner.
Ability to coordinate and prioritize work. Previous experience requiring ability to multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment is an asset.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and demonstrated comfort level with the internet. Proven aptitude for the learning & use of various software applications including recreation registration software.
Availability to work flexible hours (e.g. evenings and weekends).
Due to the responsibilities of this position a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check satisfactory to the Town of Newmarket is required.
Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification required.
Please Note:Certifications are not required at time of application but must be obtained prior to job commencement. The Town of Newmarket may offer opportunities for certification.
Disclaimer:Candidates whose Standard First Aid certification expires after June 22 2026 must renew their certification through aWSIB-approved providerand obtain the new Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C certification at candidates own cost.
