The successful Industrial Sewing Machine Operator must be able to accurately read, understand, and follow technical work orders, load-rated engineering specifications, and safety documentation published strictly in English. Effective verbal and written communication in English is necessary to collaborate safely with team members and supervisors on the manufacturing & logistics production floor.

Advantages
• Competitive hourly compensation starting at $21.00 per hour, paid weekly.
• Consistent full-time daytime schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
• Comprehensive, company-paid health and dental benefits package.
• Group RRSP plan options to support your long-term financial future.
• Permanent employment status within a highly stable and essential industrial manufacturing sector.
• Opportunity to work with a globally recognized organization that prioritizes your workplace well-being.

Responsibilities
• Operate Class 7 heavy-duty industrial sewing machines to manufacture high-strength synthetic lifting slings.
• Perform precise, reinforced multi-pass stitching patterns according to structural safety guidelines.
• Handle, measure, and cut thick nylon and polyester webbing materials efficiently.
• Read and interpret detailed work orders, blueprints, patterns, and load-rated technical specifications.
• Assemble individual sling components accurately before beginning the final sewing process.
• Conduct rigorous visual and physical inspections of finished slings to ensure complete compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform routine, basic machine maintenance, including re-threading, needle changes, and basic troubleshooting of Class 7 equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with manufacturing & logistics safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with production supervisors and team members to meet daily output targets.

Qualifications
• Proven experience safely operating Class 7 or equivalent heavy-duty industrial sewing machines.
• Advanced manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to handle heavy, multi-layered materials.
• Exceptional attention to detail with an uncompromised commitment to product safety and quality control.
• Strong basic mathematical skills to accurately calculate, read, and execute precise measurements.
• Physical stamina required to stand for extended periods and manipulate heavy textile components.
• Ability to follow strict technical instructions and standardized manufacturing procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to thrive within a fast-paced manufacturing & logistics environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1–2 years of practical experience as an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator in a production setting.
• Demonstrated experience working with multi-layered, thick webbing materials (nylon, polyester, or canvas).
• Ability to pass a practical, hands-on sewing assessment during the interview stage.
