Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant ensures accurate and timely financial reporting by managing key accounting processes, tax compliance, and supporting audits. This role plays a critical part in month-end and year-end closings, and maintaining compliance with internal and external requirements.

Things you’ll be working on:General Accounting· Prepare and update balance sheet reconciliations.· Assist with month-end and year-end closings, including accruals, cut-offs, and variance analysis.
Revenue Accounting· Perform service and license revenue cut-off procedures to ensure accurate revenue recognition.· Review and post revenue-related entries in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Accounts Payable & Fixed Assets· Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets: acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliation.· Conduct annual physical inventory of fixed assets and ensure alignment with accounting records.
Accounts Receivable & Banking· Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash forecasting.· Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Tax Compliance· Manage US Sales Tax and Canadian VAT processes, including preparation and submission of tax declarations.· Coordinate with external CPA firms to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
Audit & External Reporting· Provide documentation and support for external audits and other third-party requests.· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance and timely reporting.
Continuous Improvement· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.· Participation and support in cross-functional projects
Do you have what it takes?· CPA designation or equivalent preferred.· 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue recognition.· Strong knowledge of IFRS· Familiarity with local tax regulations (Canada and US) preferred.· Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.· Excellent analytical and organizational skills· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to navigate cross-functional teams

$85,000 - $100,000 a yearThis range reflects base pay only.
