Route 53 Domains is the domain registration service within Amazon Web Services, enabling millions of customers to register, transfer, renew, and manage domain names across hundreds of Top-Level Domains (TLDs). We operate at scale, integrating with domain registries worldwide and managing critical infrastructure that underpins our customers' online presence. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Key job responsibilities
- Develop and operate backend services in a high-availability, production environment
- Contribute to system design, code reviews, and operational excellence
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, participate in on-call rotations
- Write automated tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, support, and partner teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 4+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 4+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
