Spring Financial is a Canadian financial technology company focused on making everyday financial services simpler, faster, and more accessible. We build technology that helps Canadians build credit, save money, and access lending products without unnecessary friction. Our platforms allow customers to apply and manage their finances online, by text, or over the phone, making the experience convenient and flexible.
Since launching in 2014, Spring has grown into one of Canada’s largest fintechs, with over 250,000 product originations across credit‑building products, personal lending, and mortgage solutions. We’re a fast‑growing, product‑driven team that values practical solutions, strong execution, and thoughtful collaboration. We give people ownership, trust them to make decisions, and focus on building systems that scale reliably.
Spring offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact through well‑built technology on real‑world fintech platforms used by hundreds of thousands of Canadians.
About the Role
As a Product Manager at Spring, you own a critical, high‑growth product domain. You will be at the helm of an exciting new mobile finance app—an innovative product designed to provide dynamic, escalating value and empower users with alternative financial solutions. You are accountable for defining the roadmap, setting priorities, and partnering with engineering to build features that drive rapid business value.
This is a unique, high‑impact role where you will work directly with our Senior Leadership. The product operates in a hyper‑fast‑paced environment, requiring a 0‑to‑1 startup mentality. To be successful, you must be intensely dedicated to the product’s vision and be willing and able to match the working hours and relentless pace set by Senior Leadership.
NOTE: This is a full‑time, permanent, hybrid position in downtown Vancouver—three days in the office and two days WFH.
Role of AI & Business Strategy
You’re expected to leverage AI tools as part of your daily workflow—using them to accelerate customer research, analyze user trends, surface insights from unstructured data, or benchmark competitors. You should also be developing a sense of where AI might fit into the product itself, identifying workflows that could be enhanced with intelligent automation, dynamic personalization, or smarter risk‑assessment mechanics.
You will develop a strong understanding of the business context, our target customer personas (specifically those seeking alternative paths to financial empowerment), the market landscape, and the internal technical architecture of the product. This context will enable you to align priorities, craft clear product narratives, and earn the trust of leadership across all functions.
What You’ll Do
- Drive program & roadmap management—own and manage the product roadmap for this new mobile finance app, building, maintaining, and presenting quarterly roadmaps to keep cross‑functional teams and Senior Leadership aligned.
- Synthesize feedback & manage backlogs—act as the central hub for user feedback, systematically track bugs, triage feature requests, and translate them into actionable engineering sprints.
- Optimize product mechanics—define user problems and prioritize solutions that improve user retention, dynamic product mechanics, and the customer growth journey.
- Leverage AI—use AI tools to assist with customer insight discovery, market research, and competitor benchmarking while actively identifying opportunities for AI‑driven features.
- Cross‑functional execution—collaborate tightly with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear user stories and support the development process end‑to‑end.
- Stakeholder alignment—align multiple business stakeholders on priorities, fast‑paced execution goals, and value trade‑offs.
- Stay ahead of the curve—stay current on market trends, alternative lending insights, and the internal technical architecture of the platform.
Requirements
- High‑velocity execution—proven ability to thrive in an intensely fast‑paced environment; highly driven, adaptable, and willing to match the intensive working hours required by Senior Leadership.
- Product & program leadership—demonstrated ability to manage product roadmaps, lead cross‑functional initiatives, run quarterly planning cycles, and translate ambiguity into structured outcomes.
- Domain aptitude—strong decision‑making and prioritization skills, ideally with an understanding of consumer finance, alternative lending, or fintech products.
- Technical fluency—understanding of technical systems and product architecture at a conceptual level; able to explain how a feature delivers value and how it’s technically implemented.
- AI curiosity—strong initiative around using AI tools to support product discovery, customer understanding, and workflow acceleration.
What We Will Give You
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, reflective of experience and impact.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including extended health, dental, and vision coverage—100% of monthly premiums covered by Spring.
- GRSP matching program to support long‑term financial goals.
- A modern, collaborative workspace in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
- Ongoing career growth opportunities.
