Your Impact

• Design and evaluate tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, and integrated water management systems with safety and sustainability at the forefront
• Lead geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations to support critical project and business decisions
• Provide strategic input into permitting, environmental planning, and risk management frameworks
• Oversee projects from concept through execution, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Canada and globally
• Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers, fostering technical excellence and career growth
• Champion innovative mine waste management strategies and sustainable mining practices
• Build trusted client relationships and support business development initiatives
• Represent WSP in client engagements, regulatory discussions, and industry forums

The Skills That Set You Apart

• 10-15 years of progressive experience in mine waste, tailings, or geotechnical engineering
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
• Demonstrated expertise in tailings dam design, closure planning, and risk-based decision-making
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects
• Strong understanding of permitting, environmental, and regulatory processes in the mining sector
• A passion for mentorship, innovation, and advancing sustainable engineering solutions

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 - $179,100
MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $122,100 - $162,200
