Job Description

Job Title: Industrial Mechanic
Location: Candiac, Quebec
Department: Operations
Position Type: Full-time | On-site | Day Shift
Pay: $40.05 per hour ($43.19 after 6mths)

About the Role

As an Industrial Mechanic at , you will be responsible for maintaining all equipment in proper working condition at the Candiac plant. You will perform repairs and troubleshooting as required by operations while ensuring the performance and reliability of machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in industrial systems.
• Repair and rebuild mechanical equipment according to specifications.
• Install and maintain machinery and equipment using hoists, forklifts, and hand tools.
• Interpret equipment schematics and technical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members and document completed work.
• Participate in improvement projects to optimize machine performance.
• Respond to emergency service calls outside regular working hours according to the on-call rotation schedule.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and internal procedures.

Qualifications

• DEC in Mechanical Technology or DEP in Industrial Mechanics with 3–5 years of experience.
• Experience with roller equipment, conveyors, blowers, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including cutting, grinding, and welding metal parts.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in varying conditions, including extreme temperatures and confined spaces.
