Job description
Dalhousie University's Operational Stress Injury Clinic is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist in Dartmouth, NS. Focus on patient-centered care and contribute to innovative mental health research. In this role, you will work collaboratively as a psychiatrist within the Nova Scotia Health system, offering specialized support to individuals with operational stress injuries. Responsibilities include performing thorough assessments, providing pharmacological and psychosocial treatment, and participating in clinical education. Applications from those interested in flexible schedules are welcome. Key Responsibilities: • Assess and manage patients within the clinic • Ensure compliance with Veterans Affairs Canada standards • Participate in clinical teaching for medical students • Collaborate on research and interdisciplinary care • Involve in on-call services as per need Requirements: • Fellowship in psychiatry or equivalent is required • Licensure eligibility within Nova Scotia • Experience dealing with trauma and stress injuries desired • Capacity for research participation and innovation • Commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment Leverage your psychiatric expertise and commitment to care at Dalhousie University’s clinic in Dartmouth. #J-18808-Ljbffr
