Job description
New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is building a team to support a major public sector client in delivering software design, development, integration, and modernization services across a complex enterprise environment. This role will focus on application systems, including systems of engagement and systems of record, with responsibilities across design, prototyping, development, unit testing, integration, and production support.
This is an opportunity to work on complex and highly integrated systems in an Agile and DevOps environment, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, technical leadership, continuous improvement, and high-quality software delivery.
Responsibilities:Design, develop, integrate, test, and prototype application componentsSupport software development for systems of engagement and/or systems of recordEnsure solutions align with enterprise architecture and integration requirementsParticipate in unit testing, system integration, production support, and problem resolutionWork on complex development assignments within highly integrated environmentsLead and participate in activities that support team delivery and continuous improvementMentor team members and contribute to a respectful, collaborative team cultureProvide just-in-time feedback, coaching, and guidance to improve team effectivenessFacilitate outcomes and influence decisions without formal authorityHelp create or re-establish collaborative, credible, and high-functioning teamsUse Agile and DevOps tools, techniques, and processes to support deliveryMay participate in rotational on-call support as required
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related discipline6–9 years of equivalent IT work experienceMinimum 4 years of relevant experience with Agile methodologies, cloud, DevOps environments, continuous process improvement, IT development, unit testing, production support, problem resolution, analysis, and/or technical proficiencyExtensive experience leading the development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, testing, and prototypingExtensive experience participating in activities that support team deliveryAbility to work in highly complex and integrated environmentsExtensive experience using Agile and DevOps tools, techniques, and processesExperience with Microsoft stack technologies and frameworks, including .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL, jQuery, Angular, HTML, CSS, XUnit, NUnit, Entity Framework, TDD, and GitSAFe training and certification, such as SAFe Practitioner
