JOB OVERVIEW
As a Painter working in our state-of-the-art, climate-controlled environment you are responsible for prepping, priming, and painting various equipment components, as well as maintaining painting equipment.
You will be painting a wide range of custom products in a variety of colours in our 1400 sq. ft. paint booths. We are looking to add someone to our afternoon shift, working a four-day (40 hours) work week, with an afternoon shift premium of an additional $2 an hour.
You are diligent in your tasks, organized and a strong team player. It is crucial that our Painter promotes a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Grind, remove splatter, degrease, and prepare surface
Prime and paint all components as required
Identify and tag components after paint
Organize all components after drying
Maintain all paint booth and equipment in good working order
Responsible for paint inventory levels
Organize and maintain yard
Operate fork truck and overhead crane to move large product
Load and unload vehicles
Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education and / or relevant work experience
Prior industrial painting experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to perform in a fast-paced team environment
Familiar with basic hand and power tools
Great attitude with a desire to learn and grow professionally
