Title: Senior Payroll Administrator – U.S.
Location: Various Quantum office locations (Canada), Hybrid

Position Summary
The Senior Payroll Administrator – U.S. is responsible for providing support to the Human Resources and Payroll Department and owning the U.S. payroll process. This position is also responsible for ensuring the accuracy of preliminary payroll reports, timesheets, and spreadsheets, as well as maintaining compliance with all applicable U.S. federal and state regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and configure payroll system and (where applicable) electronic timekeeping system with all pertinent information for new employee set-ups.
- Administer department transfers, personal information changes, employment status changes, and payroll deduction changes.
- Ensure hours are categorized and allocated to correct cost centres through the organization.
- Accumulation of payroll submissions (salaried and hourly employees) and submit the completed US payroll.
- Ensure compliance with organizational practices, various state and US regulations policies.
- Prepare reports and remit employee and employer contributions to 401k and benefit plans.
- Respond to internal and external Human Resources related inquiries from clients, department managers, business partners and other parties.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or in a related field.
- 3 years of U.S. Payroll experience.
- U.S. payroll designations (Fundamental Payroll Certification, Certified Payroll Professional) considered an asset.
Job Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of rules, regulations and legislation applicable to U.S. payroll administration.
- Experience and knowledge of U.S. benefits administration.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency with MS office applications.
- Canadian payroll experience considered an asset.
