Adecco is currently hiring a Junior / Intermediate Electrical Engineer for a full-time opportunity in Edmonton, AB (hybrid). This role is ideal for an early-career EIT or developing P.Eng who is looking to strengthen technical skills, gain broad industrial exposure, and grow toward future design leadership and stamping responsibility within a collaborative engineering environment.
In this position, you will support electrical design work across industrial distribution, protection, controls, and brownfield retrofit projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers on projects spanning oil & gas, mining, utilities, renewables, municipal infrastructure, and water/wastewater systems while building hands-on technical capability and project experience.
- Salary: Up to $125,000 + overtime paid

Responsibilities- Support the design and execution of industrial electrical engineering projects under senior guidance
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and supporting engineering documentation
- Assist in the design of distribution systems (480V, 600V, 4.16kV, 13.8kV), MCCs, switchgear, and motor control systems
- Support protection system design and coordination for industrial power systems
- Participate in brownfield retrofit projects, including field verification and equipment replacement support
- Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams on project delivery
- Contribute to substation and industrial power system design activities where applicable
- Assist in preparing client deliverables and technical reports
- Develop increasing project ownership and technical independence over time
- Build knowledge toward future Professional Engineer stamping responsibilities under mentorship
Qualifications- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- EIT designation or P.Eng (or working toward designation)
- Approximately 3-7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience preferred (strong junior candidates may be considered)
- Exposure to industrial electrical systems such as distribution, controls, or protection is an asset
- Experience in oil & gas, mining, utilities, or industrial consulting environments is preferred
- Strong willingness to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Interest in hands-on engineering work and field exposure
- Ability to support multiple projects and adapt in a fast-paced environment
