Job Description

What is the opportunity?
As a Senior Client Relationship Specialist, you will serve as a key point of contact for account management, focusing on post-sales activities, complex contractual and plan design inquiries, and the installation of new business through client strategy. You will play a critical role in driving client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth within the region.

What will you do?

  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and deliver exceptional service to achieve regional sales targets while promoting group block retention and persistency rates.

  • Independently address client and advisor inquiries, determining appropriate actions for complex issues with minimal management involvement. Proactively recommend solutions to enhance problem resolution.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with producers, group plan administrators, and advisors to foster collaboration and trust.

  • Assist Sales Consultants in identifying opportunities for premium growth, including participating in advisor meetings, delivering compelling presentations, preparing documents, and coordinating reports.

  • Process client requests for policy terminations, Agent of Record transfers, plan design changes, legal name updates, billing adjustments, and other administrative tasks.

  • Conduct in-person and virtual (e.g., Webex) meetings with plan administrators and brokers to strengthen relationships and address needs.

  • Ensure accurate producer contact information and records in Salesforce.com, Licensing, and Compensation systems.

What will you need to succeed?
Must Have:

  • Strong knowledge of Group Health and Dental products.

  • Proven oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

  • Demonstrated account management and problem-resolution skills.

  • Confidence and proficiency in delivering presentations.

Nice to Have:

  • Comprehensive product knowledge across all Group lines of business, including Disability and Individual Insurance.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the employee benefits service industry.

  • Proficiency in systems such as Salesforce.com, Content Manager, Microsoft Office, and Group Portal.

  • Professional designations such as GBA (Group Benefits Associate) or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist).

  • Valid BC driver’s license and insured vehicle

What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses, flexible benefits, and competitive compensation

  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities

  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact

  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team

  • Access to a variety of job opportunities across business and geographies

  • RBCI software tools to boost your productivity

The expected salary range for the above position is $55,000 - $90,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
