Guided by our values of safety in every step, personal accountability, one team and active learning, we deliver the critical energy that North America and the world rely on while balancing reliability, affordability and sustainability.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Measurement Manager to join our Canada Gas Operations – Wood Buffalo team, based in Fort McMurray, AB.Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager for Northern Alberta, Canada Gas Operations, this position is primarily responsible for overseeing the safe, compliant, reliable operations and maintenance of TC Energy’s Measurement assets in the Wood Buffalo region.What you will doProvide leadership to continuously improve your teams’ business performance in terms of health, safety and environment, regulatory compliance, reliability and productivityEnsure compliance with all relevant federal, provincial, and local regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures pertaining to operations and maintenanceEnsure the effective turnover to operations of new capital projectsUnderstand and manage facility risks, reliability and performanceImplement Canada Gas Operations strategies and understand Commercial impactsEffectively manage all resources including people, finances, materials and time to ensure maximum efficiency in planning, forecasting, and implementationDevelop and foster an environment which actively enables and encourages employee innovation, continuous improvement, and commitment to operational performanceActively participate in the development of goals and objectives from Lines of Business (LOB) to Area level and lead the efforts to achieve these goals in the AreaManage Operations and Maintenance contracts, understand Commercial Agreements and Asset Management PlansEffectively work and interact with peers to optimize Regional results and contribute to company successEnsure that TC Energy has a positive and visible image in the communities within the Area and actively engage with key stakeholdersManage and coordinate emergency response with a requirement to be on-call to respond to emergency situationsAs a Leader in the Area of Field Operations, you will be required to:Build a strong, competent, proactive and engaged teamBe responsible for staff development and succession planning for your teamProvide team members with effective mentoring, feedback and coaching with appropriate rewards and recognitionContinue to develop your leadership competencies while maintaining a current knowledge of company business, strategy, goals and objectivesManage and coordinate emergency response with a requirement to be on call and, to respond to emergency situationsTravel to various field and office locations across the line of business (LOB) to meet with team members and other field staff, up to a 30% time commitmentAs a member of the NGTL Line of Business (LOB) Leadership Team, you will be required to:Work collaboratively to establish the LOB’s priorities, strategy, goals and business planCommit to the execution of the LOB's business planRepresent TC Energy and foster critical partnerships both internally and externallyBe a champion of change initiativesParticipate in CGO initiatives and manage issues when requiredMinimum QualificationsPost-Secondary education in a relevant field of study10 years of relevant work experience; an equivalent combination of training and experience may be consideredAn excellent track record of development and execution of plansExperience with conflict resolution and problem-solving tools and processesExperience in effective resource allocation and utilization in the financial, people and procurement areasDemonstrated leadership in the health, safety, and environment, change management, employee development, performance management, and team building areasPreferred QualificationsKnowledge and familiarity with TC Energy's business vision, strategies, practices, processes and systemsRelated experience preferably in a managerial or leadership type settingKnowledge of TC Energy's Leadership competencies and a commitment to career developmentThis position requires candidates to:Successfully complete pre-employment medical screening including drug and alcohol testingHave and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for reviewThis will involve some travel and overnight stays away from home baseRelocation Eligibility: This position is eligible for our domestic relocation programAbout our businessWe are a leader in North American energy infrastructure, spanning Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
