Journeyman Millwright at Decor Cabinets Ltd

Job Details

Hours :

Two Week Shift Rotation : 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM and 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

This position requires on call responsibilities. Evening shift premiums available.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Compliance : adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Maintain Manufacturing Equipment :

Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment.

Perform machine electrical diagnosis on motors, sensors, wiring, and control systems to identify electrical faults.

Perform inspections; preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.

Respond to emergency machine breakdowns.

Equipment Installation and Setup :

Install, move, align, set up machinery ensuring optimal performance.

Collaborate with production and engineering.

Continuous Improvement : identify opportunities for improvements.

Training employees on safe and efficient operation of machinery.

Key Competencies

Able to communicate clearly in English.

Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft, Excel).

Able to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.

Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyers.

Familiar with electrical systems and diagnosis.

Must be willing to work from heights, confined spaces and other conditions; able to lift heavy objects as required.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Strong work ethic; ability to join and contribute to a high performing team.

Self-directed and motivated.

Sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Experience & Education

Journeyman / Red Seal Millwright preferred but equivalent certification accepted.

Class 5 drivers license required.

3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.

Woodworking machinery experience is an asset.

Forklift license is an asset, training provided.
