What You’ll Do
- Support the Adjuster in creating building damage estimates for claims less than $250,000.
- Assess building damages using provided scopes and complete estimates in Xactimate and other virtual tools.
- Provide technical expertise on property damage.
- Conduct virtual and on‑site inspections to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and quality standards.
- Stay current on emerging construction practices, standards, and materials.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with specialists, engineers, and project management staff to establish positive working relationships.
- Assist with dispute resolution when required.
- Recommend construction and unit cost solutions as necessary.
What You’ll Bring
Minimum 5 years of residential and / or commercial estimating experience, including in‑depth knowledge of building construction practices.Strong proficiency in Xactimate estimating software (minimum 3 years).Knowledge of property claims adjusting processes.Problem‑solving and analytical skills with strong decision‑making ability.Excellent communication skills to detail complex issues to senior leadership, colleagues, business leaders and external partners.Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).Post‑secondary education or enrollment in the Insurance Institute program (CIP / FCIP).
