Job Description:

Cardinal Mechanical is seeking a skilled Plumber Apprentice to join our team, you will work alongside experienced plumbers, gain hands-on experience and learn the essential skills required to succeed in the trade. You will assist with installations, repairs, and maintenance on both commercial and large-scale residential projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a long-term career while receiving structured training and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assist Journeyman Plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems.
  • Follow instructions and adhere to project plans to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and building code requirements.
  • Actively engage in learning opportunities to develop technical and trade skills.
  • Attend training sessions and classes as part of your apprenticeship program.
  • Take initiative to gain knowledge about industry with the best practices and new technologies.
  • Work closely with team members to complete tasks on time and within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Utilize tools and equipment properly, ensuring their maintenance and care.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (if applicable) to assist with planning and installations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe job site for all team members.

Qualifications and Requirements


  • Apprenticeship Level: Must be Level 2, 3, or 4 Plumbing Apprentice.
  • Previous experience of commercial and large-scale residential buildings is considered an asset.
  • Blueprint reading skills are an asset but not mandatory.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
