What You’ll Be Doing:
Reporting to the Director, Culinary & Environmental Services, the Nutrition Care Partner is responsible for overseeing the provision of clinical and nutrition services to the organization’s Long Term Care Division. This role is responsible for promoting and developing evidence based efficient and effective organization of nutritional care and dietary services in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and regulatory bodies.
The Nutrition Care Partner works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams—including clinical leaders, nursing, and food services staff—to promote, develop, and implement evidence-based nutrition care programs that enhance resident health outcomes, safety, and quality of life. This role is accountable for ensuring that nutrition and dietary services are delivered in an efficient, effective, and sustainable manner, while maintaining a strong focus on continuous quality improvement and innovation.
How You’ll Succeed:
- Establish dietary standards and processes in conjunction with the Clinical Care Partners, Executive Chef and Culinary Operations Partners
- Conduct site visits and operational reviews of all communities to monitor compliance with the regulatory and organizational standards in nutrition
- Provides the Executive Director with feedback related to the practice of the Dietitian and Food Services Managers
- Collaborate with the Informatics Team on interdisciplinary professional practice initiatives including use of InterRai LTC-F quality indicators
- Participate in community strategic planning activities and provide clinical expertise as required
- Assist Executive Directors with the recruitment, placement and orientation of all Registered Dietitians, Directors of Dietary Services and Food Service Supervisors
- Maintain communication with suppliers as required
- Review staffing requirements and/or challenges related to dietary deployment; provides recommendations for change and improvement
- Review quality indicators and financial reports in line with Sienna’s business plans and performance standards and recommend corrective or improvement plans, where appropriate
- Assist with new program development /implementation as required for the Long Term Care Division
- Assist dietary managers and Registered Dietitians in responding to Ministry dietary compliance reviews
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Membership in good standing with the College of Dietitians and Dietitians of Canada; Registered Dietitian in Ontario required.
- Additional certifications in menu development, health administration, diabetes education, or related fields considered an asset
- 5 years’ experience in long-term care or related field and asset.
- Proficient in culinary and clinical software applications to support nutrition care delivery and reporting
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, analysis, and evaluation in a long-term care environment
- Demonstrated ability to deliver staff training, education, and competency development initiatives
- In-depth understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to motivate, influence, and support team performance
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills

- The salary range for this position is: $80,839.00-$101,048.50
