This role is ideal for an experienced transportation professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating complex freight projects and customer accounts, and takes ownership of operational execution from order entry through to final delivery and billing readiness. Minimum 2 years of trucking transportation industry experience is required.
Job Responsibilities:
As the Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing transportation projects and customer freight requirements from start to finish. This includes entering orders into TruckMate, coordinating freight movements, dispatching drivers, monitoring shipments, communicating directly with customers and drivers, and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and efficiently for billing.
You will work closely with Operations, Dispatch, Drivers, and Customers to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule across Canada and the United States.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate freight movements and transportation projects from order entry to delivery completion
- Manage communication between customers, drivers, dispatch, and operations teams
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve service or operational issues
- Ensure all freight documentation, PODs, and shipment details are completed accurately for billing
- Assist with scheduling, load planning, and customer updates
- Support key customer accounts and maintain strong working relationships
- Coordinate specialized freight, flat deck, LTL, and project-based transportation requirements
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, transportation regulations, and company procedures

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, results-driven, and a strong team player. In addition, you will possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of trucking transportation industry experience required
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and US shipping regulations and transportation practices
- Experience with flat deck, specialized freight, and LTL operations required
- Oil & Gas industry experience, including tubular pipe (OCTG) movements, is considered a strong asset
- Experience coordinating customer accounts, freight movements, or transportation projects
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues early and implement solutions
- Experience using TruckMate dispatch system is considered an asset
- Must be adaptable, team-oriented, and customer-focused
