HIL Engineer will be responsible for the development and integration of Driveline HIL subsystems based on the requirements of the product development team, The job will entail in creating and maintaining plant models and Hardware that represent the Driveline subsystems and Vehicle controllers (ABS, ESC, EPS, ECU).
The HIL engineer will also be required to integrate the Driveline HIL subsystems and controllers into our Driving Simulators
Responsibilities will also include development of SOP's, tools, and methodologies for enhancing the usage of the HIL and the integration with the Driving Simulators
Requirements:
• Master of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
• 5+ years' of work experience on HIL/MIL/SIL projects
• Experience with dSPACE, Hardware & Software (ControlDesk)
• 2 years' of experience (University research projects may be included) in developing
• Experience with HIL IO mapping, electrical/wiring harness, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CAN/CANFD, SPI, LIN, ECU Flashing
• Experience with Diagnostics Protocols and Tools: UDS, XCP, CANalyzer,CANoe.
• Experience in using Simulink/ Matlab to develop HIL plant models
• Experience in systematic troubleshooting on HIL simulation systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate activities with other functional groups.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong Data analytical skills and the ability to interpret data for senior management reviews.
• Ability to travel to the USA for meetings.
• Must have a valid driving license
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Onsite – 100% (ARDC, Windsor)
Preferred Requirements:
• Experience in the Automotive Industry with Powertrain, both ICE and Electrification, Driveline.
• Experience with Brake and Steering subsystems and controllers (ECU, ABS ESP, ESC).
• Understanding of working principles of driveline theory and application.
• Knowledge of Vehicle ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and interaction/interface among them.
• Self-motivated, with good project planning skills
• Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
