Job descriptionJob Title: Senior Tax Analyst Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Vaughan (4 days onsite) Base Salary Range: $95,000-110,000 Industry: Pharmaceuticals Position Type: Existing Vacancy About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join their Global Tax function. Reporting to the Manager, Global Taxation, this role is a key contributor to Canadian income tax compliance and tax reporting for Canadian entities within a global organization. You’ll own critical deliverables across IFRS income tax provision work, tax account reconciliation, and audit support—while also partnering cross-functionally with Finance and other internal stakeholders on tax-related projects and business initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions under IFRS, including supporting tax schedules - Maintain and reconcile tax accounts, ensuring accurate reporting of tax balances across jurisdictions - Support internal and external audits by responding to tax-related information requests - Calculate and assist with tax installments, and monitor refunds and tax assessments - Review Canadian corporate income tax returns and related filings - Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for compliance and audit readiness - Respond to tax inquiries from internal and external stakeholders; conduct tax research as required - Assist with the automation and enhancement of tax processes - Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements - Ensure ongoing compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures - Collaborate cross-functionally to support tax-related projects and business initiatives - Support special projects and other duties as assigned What You Bring - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field - CPA designation (completed or in progress) - In-Depth Tax or Master of Taxation (in progress) - 3+ years of Canadian corporate tax and tax reporting experience - Experience preparing tax provisions - Strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and regulations - Advanced Excel skills - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with high attention to detail - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment - Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines Next Steps We do appreciate all interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
