Job description
A growing, privately held construction services organization is seeking a General Manager to lead its Western Canadian operations. The company specializes in delivering complex commercial construction and exterior envelope solutions across institutional, industrial and large-scale commercial projects. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing business performance, operational execution and strategic growth within the region. The successful candidate will bring a strong mix of operational leadership, business development acumen and team-building capability. Job Details Location: Lower Mainland, BC (Onsite) Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 + performance-based bonus Reports To: Executive Leadership What You’ll Do - Lead overall business operations within the region, including financial performance and P&L accountability - Develop and execute strategic plans to support growth, market expansion and profitability - Drive revenue through strong client relationships and market engagement across the commercial construction sector - Oversee project delivery functions including estimating, project management and field operations - Ensure alignment between business development, operational capacity and project execution - Build, mentor and lead cross-functional teams, fostering a high-performance culture - Establish and monitor key performance metrics across financial, operational and safety outcomes - Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and overall operational efficiency - Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients, consultants and industry partners - Provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership What You Bring - 8+ years of senior leadership experience within construction or related industries - Proven experience managing business operations and financial performance (P&L responsibility) - Strong understanding of commercial construction project delivery and client management - Demonstrated ability to grow and scale operations in a competitive market - Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills - Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-driven approach Why This Role - Executive-level leadership opportunity with significant growth potential - High-impact role with direct influence on regional success - Competitive compensation and performance incentives - Established organization with strong market presence All applications will be handled with strict confidentiality.
