Robert Half has a permanent employment opportunity for an Accountant position with one of their clients. This role could be your next career move if you thrive working under tight deadlines with minimal supervision and are a self-driven and organized accounting professional seeking an Accountant position. The Accountant is in charge of reviewing their clients financial statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation, and month-end closing and preparing T2 corporate tax returns. Moreover, as the Accountant you prepare HST / GST and light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation. Key responsibilities

  • Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
  • Sort sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
  • Keep a check on Accounts Payable
  • Review of all supporting reports and reconciliation
  • Review monthly accounting close
  • Review of general ledger
  • Review monthly accounting close
  • prepare corporate T2 tax forms and US Tax
  • Secondary assignment when necessary

Job Requirements :

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Year end closings experience
  • Well-founded grasp of Quickbooks Online
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
  • Proven knowledge of Tax Notices
  • Financial statement preparation experience required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Corporate Tax Return
  • Experience with Notice to Reader
  • Deep understanding of bank reconciliations
  • Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
  • Proven analytical skills with good organizational skills
  • Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards
  • Dynamic accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper or entry level Accountant preferred
