Senior Client Services IT Technician

THE ROLE:

We’re helping our Edmonton client find a talented and dedicated Client Services IT Technician with strong expertise in diagnosing and resolving technical issues involving hardware, software, and networks. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional first-line technical support, ensuring systems run smoothly, and maximizing productivity across the board. Working both in person and remotely, you'll collaborate with users to identify and address concerns while maintaining a sharp focus on delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the primary point of contact for technical support requests (in person, phone, and remote)
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues
• Performing system maintenance, installations, and optimizations
• Troubleshooting LAN/WAN connectivity and third-party systems
• Following up with users to ensure resolution and a positive support experience
• Providing consultative recommendations on IT solutions aligned to client needs
• Maintaining accurate ticketing and supporting billing documentation

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Our ideal candidate should bring the following blend of technical knowledge, experience, and interpersonal skills:

Experience: At least 5+ years in a Microsoft 365 administration and licensing role, with strong expertise in technical support for computer systems and Office applications

Core Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with Windows environments (Windows 7–11, Windows Server) and Office applications
• Hands-on knowledge of PC deployment, server management, and backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Windows Backup)
• Solid experience with networking concepts (LAN/WAN), server and workstation antivirus, and endpoint security
• Understanding of hardware, storage (NAS, SAN, RAID), and general infrastructure support
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to new technologies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Industry exposure (finance, healthcare, technology) considered an asset
