Adecco is currently hiring a Fabrication Technician for a full-time temporary opportunity in Stoney Creek. This role is ideal for a hardworking and safety-focused individual who enjoys hands-on manufacturing work and thrives in physically demanding environments. In this position, you will support the production of lead-based products by operating machinery, handling materials, and assisting with manufacturing and packaging processes while maintaining strict health and safety standards.
This role requires working in a specialized manufacturing environment with elevated safety requirements, including the use of a Power Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR). Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-placement baseline lead test, physical assessment, and background check prior to starting.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities- Operate production machinery including extrusion press equipment and CNC machines
- Cast molten lead and perform lead burning and soldering tasks
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Inspect products during production runs to ensure quality standards are met
- Build wood packaging including pallets and custom crates
- Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
- Follow supervisor instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals and timelines are achieved
- Adhere strictly to all workplace safety regulations and procedures
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to management
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment and properly store PAPR equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding work in hot environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift
- Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments is preferred
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing or construction-related tasks is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn new processes and manufacturing techniques
- Ability to safely operate forklifts is preferred
- Forklift certification is considered an asset
- Valid driver's license is considered an asset
- Must be comfortable wearing required respiratory protective equipment (PAPR)
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-placement lead test, physical assessment, and background check
